Executive Chef with seventeen years experience in the field of culinary arts.

She attended Southern California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, California, is certified in CPR & sanitation and is a Member of the American Culinary Federation.

Her extensive history in the culinary field started in 1989 with catering. As a young chef she assisted in preparing the meals for the Oscar & Emmy award events and began her training at Bon-Appetite fine dining restaurant at the Getty Center Museum located in Southern California. She also moonlighted as an online chef for cooking.com. Later she held a higher position as an Executive Chef at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Throughout the years she continued catering while perfecting her culinary expertise.

 

In addition to her experience in the culinary arts, she has a rich cultural background. She was born to a Chinese mother and an Irish father in Vietnam and came to the United States in 1975. As a young girl she learned the importance of maintaining cultural traditions through speaking her native language of Cantonese and showing the value of life through food. This rich blending of culture in Joanne's life has led to her unique ability to meld flavors from across the world into specialized dishes.
